So What about Bob?

Welcome to the Bob Straley voiceover page. I am a professional voiceover artist and entrepreneur, I am also a husband of 15 years and proud father of two children (a teen and a toddler). While moonlighting as a voiceover, I spend my days working in a laboratory which I have done for the last 15 years as well, which has made me a very logical and analytical person, but if you have ever known a lab person (and if you don't, trust me) I'm a total goofball as well. when you get to know me you will find that I am quick witted and always looking to crack a joke. during more serious conversations, I typically am very considerate and sympathetic to the people around me and I am very diplomatic in that I will usually try to see a situation from someone else's point of view. When it come to problem solving I have a very practical thought process, thinking of ways to get the best results in a reasonable time frame. Laboratory work also has its down sides as well, it has made me what I call "unfortunately  honest" as with everyone's job, there are times when you just want to cut corners and say it's good enough, that's just not me. I have to do each job to the best of my abilities or it bothers me so much I can't stop thinking about how I could have done it better.

If you have read this far, and you are asking yourself "what does this have to do with voiceover?" then I recommend you go back to the beginning and read it again, I do my best to give you a professional sounding recording, lab life means I have seen and heard words that most people never use in their lifetime. The smart alec in me can give you a young man in his 20's, the dad in me can give you a man in his 30's and the laboratory professional on me can give you man in his 40's or 50's all of which can be conversational, authoritarian, educational, playful and excited.
